BUSINESS GRANT 2013

EILEEN FISHER Inc. will award up to 5 grants of $12,500 to the recipients of the 2013 Women’s Business Grant Program. Your business must be innovative, 100% women owned and produce products that foster environmental and economic health in the global community. (This business grant is NOT meant for consulting services, medical practices, and personal services. We favor product-based enterprises.) Deadline for submission is 31 May 2013.

 

 

 

 

CRAFT - HAND MADE FOR RETAIL

Clarion Events have announced the launch of CRAFT, a new trade event for contemporary craft which will take place from the 12-14 January 2014 at Earls Court, London. The launch of CRAFT is in response to increasing demand from retailers searching for high quality products with provenance; items which are truly unique and original; objects with heart, soul and individuality. CRAFT is the place where professional buyers will discover just such products. Deadline is 28 July 2013.

The New Design Britain Awards are one of the most important competitions in the UK for young design talent, giving recognition to students for innovative and ground-breaking work. Enter the New Design Britain Awards 2014 for the chance to have your designs and products displayed at INTERIORS UK 2014 and win a placement with a leading industry supplier. Categories include furnishing accessories, surface coverings, furniture and fabrics. Deadline for entries is 26 July 2013.

Winston Churchurchill Award

 

ARTS THREAD has partnered with the Churchill Centre and Pentland Group plc as the platform for this new competition.

Winston Churchill is one of our Great Britons known across the world. But can you articulate why his life and example of leadership is relevant to people today? Explore the extraordinary story of Churchill’s life and his impact on the 20th Century and articulate your vision of his continuing relevance to the contemporary scene in a work of 2D form – from fine art and photography to illustration and graphic design.

Short listed students will have their work exhibited and voted by an external panel of judges, patrons and members of the Churchill Centre. A selection of the works will be exhibited for a period of time for the public to enjoy.  Deadline: 31 May 2013
