Supporting a more sustainable society, the recycling factory developed by Cohda Design is a series of industrially modified machinery that will be fed by domestic plastic packaging waste (such as bottles, bags and food trays), and will then be re-formed back into useful designs almost instantly! The sustainable event will on public display for 10 days and will be used to generate a series of handmade recycled plastic seating designs, taking the form of an evolving exhibit. Early designs from the process are receiving wide acclaim and were a huge hit at New York’s furniture fair earlier this year; but this is the first opportunity to see the process behind the work.
