Bengtsson’s exhibition will be dominated by his largest work to date, a newly commissioned monumental carbon fibre sculpture filling NGC’s central gallery. Though stretching across the space, Bengtsson’s work will weigh less than 100kg, being created from ultra-lightweight materials and high-tech processes used ordinarily in space technology. To compliment this exhibition, National Glass Centre has also commissioned new work by another Danish artist, Anne Vibeke Mou, featuring pieces in glass as well as dense, graphite drawings.
