COMMUNITY LED DESIGN: WHAT IS IT AND DOES IT WORK?

The debate will begin with brief presentations from panellists, followed by an open discussion with members of the audience. The
debate will be chaired by Sophia de Sousa, Chief Executive, The Glass-House Community Led Design.This event is being
organised by The Glass-House Community Led Design in partnership with Northern Architecture.

MADE NORTH is a one day conference exploring the roles of design, art and technology in the future of the North. Speakers hand picked from the cream of the creative crop. The event takes place at FACT in Liverpool. Tickets are £55.

As a Cultural professional you don't need to have any previous experience of digital, you don't even need to have an IT department, we will have specialists on hand to guide you through this process every step of the way.

Trevor Baylis who shot to fame when he created the Clockwork Radio will crank up the volume on innovation when he joins Professor James Hayton of Newcastle University at the fourth inspirational event in this ‘Science of…’ series.
The events which merge science, business and personal development have proved a real winner with the region’s business community and this one promises to be a real highlight.

Calling all people interested in service design and customer experience! Over the weekend of 24-26 FebruaryNewcastle will take part in an event taking place in cities all over the world! The event is open to designers from all disciplines, students, academics, business people and customers. In a spirit of experimentation, innovation, co-operation and friendly competition, teams will have less than 48 hours to develop and prototype completely new services inspired by a shared theme.
At the end of the weekend, the collection of brand new services will be published to the world.

DESIGN MEANS BUSINESS CONFERENCE

‘Design Means Business’ is a national conference designed to communicate and advance the value and benefits of design to businesses and the wider community.
Over two days, the conference aims to inspire and support businesses to engage with design practices and practitioners through passionate keynote speakers and interactive Workshops and Master classes.
