What are you working on right now…
Droog Design Urban Play – I’ve been developing this project I created for Droog for two years now, and it’s just gotten the green light from the city of Amsterdam, so in September 2008, 12 of the world’s leading designers will create urban objects and areas that invite intervention as part of their design. I’m also curating the world’s first definitive exhibition of Guerrilla Design for Amsterdam as well – it’s going to be a busy year.
What were your thoughts on Design Event 07?
I was impressed with the energy and enthusiasm the event showed towards bringing new design and new thinking to the Northeast, and the results achieved through this event. Very professional, very smart.
What excites you?
New ideas; innovative and open approaches to creativity
Your favourite city and why:
Amsterdam. A sublime mix of intrigue, internationalism and sophistication that I never get tired of.
