Psalt Design is a studio specialising in unique, well-crafted furniture and product design. Richard
Bell, Thomas McKeown and David Powell work together as Psalt Design to produce several
collections per year as well as working on a client and commission basis. Their manifesto is to create contemporary and highly desirable products through small batch production, which are sourced and manufactured responsibly. Psalt Design take their name from Psalter Lane Campus where they first met at Sheffield’s brutalist art and design college. They wanted the design studio to be based in Sheffield, a city which they all have great admiration and affection for in terms of its industrial and creative history.Psalt will exhibit The Bubble Tank which takes inspiration from distortion and illusion to create an interesting product that provokes a reaction. The tank can function as an attractive abode for fish or can be admired as a decorative piece in its own right. The tanks are all hand-blown to order and are unique and individual pieces.
