This is the first ever retrospective exhibition by the extraordinary jeweller, textile artist and 3D designer Nora Fok. The artist has established herself as a pioneering maker, transforming organic forms into wearable, ethereal sculpture. Her delicate, intricate forms are woven from nylon microfilament. This is a spectacular chance to see this wonderful jewellery in Gateshead.
Happiness is...being on Cloud Nylon
Nora Fok's jewellery is intended to draw your attention to the excitement and beauty in the world. During Design Event festival three people will have the opportunity to discover whether it works...
Nora Fok will lend a statement jewellery piece to selected festival goers to wear for 5 days. Each wearer will find out whether Nora's jewellery transports them to Cloud Nylon, and blog about their experience
To express your interest in wearing a piece, answer the following question:
Have you caught sight of something beautiful recently?
Describe your discovery in less than 100 words, and email to Sim Panesar sim.panesar@twmuseums.org.uk by 5pm on 29 September
This experience has been made possible by the openness and generosity of Nora Fok.
