Noma will be at BALTIC on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 between 2.30-4.30 to help people make their own Noma Bar Cut Outs!
Cut It Out is a major new exhibition of work from London based Israeli born graphic designer, Noma Bar.
Award winning graphic artist Noma Bar will be creating an amazing, interactive art-making machine for his event, ‘Cut It Out’. Featuring a specially commissioned, Heath Robinson-esque embossing device /sculpture in the shape of a giant dog, visitors can feed paper, rubber and other materials into its mouth to produce their own cut-out Noma Bar prints.
Since 2003, Noma has published over 500 illustrations for a wide range of media clients including Wallpaper*, Esquire and the Observer. In 2008 the first of two books dedicated to his graphic solutions were published by Mark Batty Publisher.
Noma’s work is characterised by bold forms that seamlessly blend juxtapositions and double-meanings which are often both political and humorous.
