Cath Ball creates delicate, beautiful ceramic vessels and unexpectedly combines needlepoint and embroidery into the finished pieces.
Cath creates her work through a variety of techniques including hand building, slip casting and throwing.
She then stitches each piece using coloured cotton thread, which contrasts pleasantly with the unglazed
polished porcelain.
Cath will be exhibiting two new ranges, floral and coastlines. Coastlines takes it’s inspiration from British
coastlines and the stitching on each vessel features a captivating part of a specific point where water and land meet.
The decorative vessels look striking as a single piece or grouped together as a collection. Each vessel is
hand made by Cath in her home studio in Carlisle.
