Be Part of Design Event 08

 

DATES: 9th to 26th October

THEME: Northern Design

Further to our initial call for core projects for Design Event 08 we are now looking for additional innovative projects with a design focus that have funding support in place but that are keen to partner with us on marketing and to be part of the wider Design Event festival. Design Event 08 will take place from 9th to 26th October based on the theme of Northern Design.

Support available includes:

• inclusion in the Design Event brochure – 30k printed and distributed region wide
• Inclusion on our website with a link through to your own site
• inclusion in e-bulletin’s we send out to our database in the run up to the festival
• promotion through overall DE08 advertising and PR
• association with a high quality annual design festival

Events may include exhibitions, tours, workshops or other events.

We are also co-ordinating a Design Event Mart at Baltic on 18 and 19 October as part of the festival, and are looking for products to include in this curated event.  We are looking for high quality new products that are exciting and innovative and priced from £1 to £200, ideally with small batch production.  If you have a product you think we’d like then please email info@design-event.co.uk with details of your product including quantities, price and images by 26 May.

Design Event 08 will build on the success of last year’s festival, which attracted 43,235 visitors to our 24 events with 10 exhibitions focusing on graphics and illustration, 9 on product design, 4 talks, 3 architecture exhibitions and 1 on film and animation. What happens next:

To include your event in the festival fill in the form (detailing venue, dates and names of the designers involved) in our download section and submit it to info@design-event.co.uk by 26th May.
